Terms of use
Last updated: 12 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Faithly ("Faithly", "we", "us"), based in Sydney, Australia. By using faithly.live, the Faithly web app or the Faithly desktop app, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you use Faithly on behalf of a church or other organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
1. The service
Faithly translates spoken content live. A church ("host") connects audio from its service, and people attending ("listeners") read captions or listen to a translation on their own device. Hosts can also upload notes before a service and receive reports afterwards.
2. The beta
Faithly is currently in beta and free to use. Features may change, be added or be removed while we improve the product. We will give churches at least 30 days' notice before introducing any charges, and paid plans will have their own terms that you can choose whether to accept.
3. Accounts
Listeners can join as guests or create an account. Accounts are for people aged 16 and over. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. Hosts are responsible for who they give host access to.
4. What hosts agree to
- You have the right to have the content of your services, including sermons, songs and readings, transcribed and translated.
- You tell your speakers and attendees that Faithly is in use and that captions and translations are created automatically, for example with a note on screen or in the bulletin.
- You follow the laws that apply to your church, including privacy and child safety laws.
- You keep the details of your church account accurate.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Faithly to break the law, to harass or harm anyone, to share content you don't have the rights to, or to interfere with the service or other people's use of it. Do not try to copy, reverse engineer or resell Faithly. We may suspend access that breaks these rules.
6. Translation accuracy
Faithly uses automated speech recognition and translation, which can make mistakes, especially with music, background noise, strong accents or unusual names. Captions and translations help people follow along, but they may not be word-perfect. Do not rely on Faithly where an exact translation is essential, such as legal, medical or safeguarding conversations. In those situations, use a qualified interpreter.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you bring to Faithly, including your services, notes and branding. You give us permission to process, store and display that content only as needed to provide, support and improve Faithly for you. We do not claim ownership of your content and we do not sell it.
8. Our product
Faithly, its software, design and brand belong to us. We give you a personal, non-exclusive right to use the web app and to install the desktop app on devices you use for your church's services, for as long as you use Faithly under these terms.
9. Availability
We work hard to keep Faithly running during your services, but it depends on internet connections and third-party providers, so we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may carry out maintenance, and we will try to avoid service times.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using Faithly at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or end the beta, with reasonable notice where we can give it.
11. Consumer law and liability
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded. Apart from those rights, Faithly is provided "as is" during the beta, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by inaccurate translations, interruptions or third-party services. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and tell churches by email about any important change. If you keep using Faithly after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
