How live sermon translation works
Faithly turns the words of your service into captions and speech in the language each person chooses. Three steps get you there.
- Connect one device that has your church audio and an internet connection, such as a laptop plugged into the sound desk.
- Start the service in Faithly. A QR code appears for your screen or your bulletin.
- Visitors scan the code, choose their language and follow the sermon as it happens.
What visitors see
Visitors see large, readable captions that follow the speaker line by line, in their own language, on their own phone. They can listen through headphones instead, switch language at any time, and scroll back to read a line again. Guests need no account.
How fast is it?
Captions follow the speaker about a second or two behind. The host can tune the speed, and online viewers can add a delay to match a video stream.
Languages
Your speaker can speak in any of 60 languages. Listeners follow in up to 73 languages: live captions in all of them and a spoken voice in 61.
How accurate is it?
Very good for spoken content such as sermons, prayers and announcements. Upload your sermon notes beforehand so names, verses and terms come out right.
Songs: In our tests the AI separates music from noise well and even translates music most of the time, although it was not designed for it. Speech works best.
What does it cost?
Faithly is free for churches at this stage. Our mission is to put this technology within reach of every church, whatever its size, so we will keep it free or at a reasonable price. Listeners are virtually unlimited.
Who uses it
Faithly is used by 55+ churches in 9 countries, with 450+ services translated so far (as of 2026-10-16).
